+Updates phpBBHS to support phpBB 3.0.7
+For the clear cache function added chmod attempt if deleting a file fails
+Improved the phpBB 3.0.6 upgrade process additional checks
+Added more module options from the phpBB 3.0.6 update including ACP_FEED_SETTINGS, ACP_FORUM_PERMISSIONS_COPY, MCP_PM_REPORTS_OPEN, MCP_PM_REPORTS_CLOSED, MCP_PM_REPORT_DETAILs. They have to be enabled under Hosted phpBB -> Modules
In under for them to show up in admin control panel/user control panel of the forums.
!Fixed a bug in database rotation that prevented it from working correctly

Current active license holders can download the latest release in the client area.

phpBB 3.0.7 has been released!

We are working on an update for phpBBHS and should be out in one to two weeks.

We are pleased to announce the release of phpBB "Run bugs, run! Bertie
is coming!" 3.0.7. This new version is a maintenance release fixing a
number of a bugs as well as improving on usability and performance. We
have entirely overhauled the Feed feature, fixing a lot of bugs and odd
behaviours. Some problems with the automated updater have been solved,
so if you are still on 3.0.5 this update should work a lot better for you.

We urge you to update your installation as soon as possible. The bugs
fixed in phpBB 3.0.7 ensure the smooth operation of your board. Our
support team will only support phpBB 3.0.7, updates to phpBB 3.0.7 and
conversions to phpBB 3.0.7. Submissions to our trackers for older
versions will not be accepted, please make sure you update before you
submit a bug report.

If you use a language pack other than the default "English [GB]", you
should check our downloads section, an update may already be available.

New Update

We have now added better support for IIS. Which includes support for ISAPI Rewrite 3.0 which supports apache .htaccess files on IIS. Script has been tested and is supported for IIS 6.

Currently working on next major release with new functions and addons.

Update for phpBB 3.0.5 is ready, I'm currently testing it on several servers to make sure it works, it will be released tomorrow.

As usual, update instructions will be posted in this thread (visible only to customers), so if you want to get instant notification when update has been released, subscribe to that topic.

In addition to 3.0.5 update, there was another release few days ago. It was a big release, which included several new features that help you with maintenance, new spam prevention functions (it is disabled by default) and full support for mySQL 4.1 or newer.

I have also added a new forum: showcase. Everyone can see that forum, but only forum host owners can post there. Many people are asking me to show websites that use phpBBHS, I don't like linking to websites of forum host owners without their permission, so if you own a successful forum host that uses phpBBHS, please post a topic about it in that forum. If you have some offer or if you just want to advertise your forum host: post a topic about it in that forum.

One year old

This month script had its first anniversary: it has been one year since first release of phpBB 3 hosting script.

I would like to thank everyone who has been reporting bugs, provided feedback, suggested new features and helped develop script into the best forum hosting script. It doesn't have shiny useless features, such as Ajax forms (that serve no purpose other than being a shiny word), but this script has the best set of administration tools there is and features that are wanted by forum owners.

Development of script haven't stopped, it never stops. There has been approximately one release every month, which included bug fixes and new features. Today is another such release, which, among other features, includes long awaited functions that allow forum owners to use their own smilies, forum images, imageset and rank images.

A new update to script has been released. It includes few bug fixes and many new features. Go to customers area of website to download it, list of code changes will soon be available in customers area of this forum.

New features in today's release:
- Ability to uninstall styles on all hosted forums.
- Ability to update forums to latest phpbb (in case if you have restored backup of old version).
- New advertising module: now you can set custom ads per multiple forums, categories, domains or based on style used by forum. You can select any combinations of those settings.
- Emails sent by phpBBHS are now handled by one function that uses plugin system, so it is possible to write a module for SMTP or any other custom way of sending out emails (I did not write such module, but customers now can do it).
- Ability to repair tables of single forum from control panel.
- Ability to put several databases in rotation that will be used for new registrations to spread out database load.
- Support for servers that use IIS instead of Apache (not fully tested yet, but seems to work).

Sorry for delay, phpBB 3.0.2 has been released almost a week ago, but script is not updated to 3.0.2 yet. It might take few more days for me to make an update, I'll post in this thread when its ready.
