Honestly, that's not a fair bargain - at least early purchasers of the script should have had the $25 renewal fee. When we signed up, we were told it'd be $25 and that's what we agreed to. Obviously, we have to pay the higher amount now because we need the updates - the maintenance cost was factored...

You don't need to buy a VPS or a dedicated server to get a dedicated IP - they're not related. Try asking your host, they will provide it for an additional fee. BUT, I would recommend starting off with at least a VPS so that you'll have room to grow - things may go awfully wrong if you're on shared ...

Start with at least a VPS. You're looking at an expense of over 10 times the Lunarpages amount at a decent VPS host. Your best bet would be to look around WebHostingTalk.com.

If some sort of a Mods Control Panel could be there, it would make the job of adding the options easier for us. But I guess it would mean editing phpBB core files, which you probably want to avoid.

As for multiple forums: that's an interesting idea, I'll see what can be done about it. Implemented, and will be in next release, which most likely will be released tomorrow.
