Go with alternate login. It may have conflicting text on the OP's thread, but it actually does contain openID as part of a recent update from user feedback.

As what phpbbhs stated, nothing on phpbb side of hs is touched. We could possibly add mobile support for the hs admins section in an upcoming release.
