Can I do this?

Post by newspress »

Hi CyberAlien,

have a few little questions :-)

We have a newspress page and the problem is to start your script with wildcards... for example:

at the moment:
www.newspress.tld / games.newspress.tld / insurance.newspress.tld / fitness.newspress.tld

Can you modify the Script:

1. We need the script: forum.newspress.tld
2. User Forums: forum.newspress.tld/userforum1/

3. i have see a redirect for users at adminscript for example:
We can switch from forum.newspress.tld/userforum1/ to www.forum.example.com
is that right?

At last we need a other language pack for admin an freeforums.

Can we do that with your script? subfolders - not subdomains and a payment method? For modify the script we would pay

Thanks for help and best regards
Markus

The phpBBHS script currently requires wildcard dns with subdomains.
The folders option would be very hard to add/support.

It is possible to install other languages for users to use with their forum and change the default language that the forum is installed with.

Might be possible to do but would require a significant amount of work to add support for folder based installs. Probably would want to use just mod_rewrite that could get really complicated.

thanks for answer...

mod_rewrite is installed (server)

I have talked with my developer an he means this is no problem (modify with mod_rewrite and .htaccess. We will test it end of the month :)

Have you a developer forum/support here? After we can post the solution.

Customers get a couple example boards.
Discussion board, Support Forum, Custom modules, mods, templates, and Tutorials forums.

So that would be the best place to post it.
