You will need a dedicated IP, what probarly isn't provided by a shared hosting. You will need to get a VPS or dedicated server or something, with a dedicated IP

If you can setup it in such way so all subdomains of domain you are using will work and will point to same home directory, then you can use it.

Example: http://www.domain.com and http://test12345.domain.com should both work and point to /home/users/whatever/public_html/ and when opened in browser they should both show same page from that home directory.

Its rather hard to set it up that way, and then you won't be able to use custom domains. With a dedicated IP you don't need to do complex server configuration and you can use any domain that points to that IP, so you can use more than one domain and custom domains, which makes dedicated IP a better and more simple solution.

You don't need to buy a VPS or a dedicated server to get a dedicated IP - they're not related. Try asking your host, they will provide it for an additional fee. BUT, I would recommend starting off with at least a VPS so that you'll have room to grow - things may go awfully wrong if you're on shared hosting.
