It will be a while months away.
I can do a simple one quickly but would not have a ton of features.

You can start with simple one, and then you can ask user about features missing.
We can all envelope in the process to get some thing solid finally.
Also you can start using MyBB Multiforums Mod for MyBB 1.6 which build by:

The basic package is free and open. and you can add extra feature to this like separate theme editor and multi-databse function and more ads placement...etc.

I don't want to use other's script so it would either be the phpbbhs base or the echophp base code.
